The Focus Sahara Rally takes ordinary people in ordinary Ford Focus hatchbacks deep into Morocco and the Sahara Desert, across sand dunes, rocky tracks and vast dried lake beds where road signs disappear and horizons stretch forever.

You’ll sleep beneath a billion stars, wake to the Sahara at dawn and share breakfast with Berber nomads. You’ll drive where maps become suggestions, make friends in the most unexpected places and discover what you’re capable of when comfort zones vanish.

You don’t need to be a rally driver, or have any desert experience, you simply focus on the adventure and we handle the rest.

Of course, with any vehicle costing from as little as £250, there may be issues, so your team is backed up by a professional support crew including an experienced Desert Leader, Rally Mechanic and Expedition Doctor in expedition equipped 4×4's who are on hand to cover any eventualities.

The rally is operated by Max Adventure, expedition specialists with over 30 years’ experience leading teams in the world’s most extreme environments. They’ve led Hollywood actors along the world’s toughest roads for an extreme-driving series on Discovery Channel, supported Sir Ranulph Fiennes at the North Pole; served as military rapid-deployment specialists and led global expeditions from the Arctic to Everest.

From -60°C to +50°C, they’ve been there.

The total duration of Focus Sahara Rally 2026 is 11 days.
The rally starts in Tarifa and finishes in Algeciras, both in southern Spain.
